Hi everyone, I just wanted to share a quote that resonates with me especially during this time in my life. There are many exciting changes in my life, and I couldn’t be happier. One of those changes would be the writing of my memoir. I continue to take writing classes, and my book is coming along. I have given myself a deadline to meet of January 2015, and it will be done. Also, I will be sharing with you news about English with Liz in the coming weeks.

Hello everyone!
As I recover from my recent foot surgery, I’ve had A LOT of time on my hands and I’ve thought, thought, and thought a little more on so many things. On my way back from one of my many doctor appointments a thought came to me. I remember thinking, everything I see… (building, cars, trains, bags, human beings, etc.) every little bit of it was first an idea. Then a decision was made to develop that idea and it ultimately manifested.
Since everything begins with an idea, I’d like to share one of my business ideas with you.
Back in early November, I was working very hard at doing my lesson plans to leave for the substitute teacher. I had very little time to do anything else. For some time now, I’ve contemplated quitting teaching to pursue writing, and I’ve thought of ways to make this possible. Well, it dawned on me that I could create a business where I talk to people and charge an hourly fee. I remember my friend in Spain telling me that there were many Spaniards needing fluent English conversational partners in Granada, Spain to talk to in order to improve their English. I went with this idea and decided to call this new business of mine English Pals.
As a language teacher, I know that there are many people out there that are learning another language (in this case English) and need others to practice it. That’s where I come in and speak with others via FaceTime to help them improve listening and speaking skills.
This is a wonderful way to help others.
As a teacher, I’ve had the privilege to help my students academically and personally, as well. I think this would be a wonderful transition for me because not only would I’d be helping others, but I would be helping others out acquire a new language! I get so excited thinking of all the possibilities of learning a new language! They’re endless!
I’m still working on it…
In the meantime, I’m still working on the website, details of the business plan, and a few other things. I was a little clueless about what it took get a business going, but I’m learning every day. 🙂
On a personal note, I decided to do this today because it’s my birthday. I’ve had a beautiful day with my family.
I’m proud of myself for taking the first step to share this new business of mine. As always, thank you for reading.

Mientras me recupero de mi operación, he tenido MUCHO tiempo y he pensado, pensado y pensado un poco más de muchas cosas. Un día cuando regresaba de una de mi citas médicas se me vino un pensamiento que me impactó mucho. Me acuerdo que pensé, todo lo que veo… (edificios, carros, trenes, calles, seres humanos, etc.) todo esto eran ideas. Después se hizo una decisión y se desarrolla esa idea y finalmente se manifestó.
Ya que todo empieza con una idea, me gustaría compartir una de mis ideas de negocio con ustedes.
En noviembre, estaba trabajando muy duro para hacer mis planes de lección para el maestro sustituto. Tuve muy poco tiempo para hacer otras cosas. Desde hace algún tiempo, he contemplado dejar la enseñanza para dedicarme a escribir y he pensado en maneras de hacer esto posible. Bueno, me di cuenta de que podía crear un negocio donde hablo con la gente y cobro por hora. Recuerdo que una amiga mía en España me decía que había muchos españoles que necesitaban compañeros de conversación en Granada, España mejorar tu inglés. Decidí llamar este nuevo negocio mío English with Lizo Inglés con Liz.

¿Qué es exactamente English with Liz ?
Como profesor de idiomas, sé que hay mucha gente por ahí que están aprendiendo otro idioma (en este caso inglés ) y que necesitan a otros para practicarlo. Ahí es donde yo les puedo ayudar al hablar con ustedes a través de Skype para que mejoren sus habilidades de comprensión y expresión oral.
Es una idea maravillosa para ayudar a otros.
Como maestro, he tenido el privilegio de ayudar a mis estudiantes académicamente y en lo personal, también. ¡Creo que esto sería una transición maravillosa para mí porque no sólo estaría ayudando a otros , pero estaría ayudando a otros a adquirir un nuevo idioma! ¡Me emociono al pensar de todas las posibilidades que tenemos cuando aprendemos un nuevo idioma! ¡Son infinitas!
Todavía estoy trabajando en ello …
Mientras tanto, sigo trabajando en el sitio web, los detalles del plan de negocios, y algunas otras cosas. La verdad que estaba un poco desorientada sobre lo que era tener un negocio, pero estoy aprendiendo todos los días. 🙂
Decidí a hacer esto hoy,porque hoy es mi cumpleaños. Tuve un día muy lindo con mi familia.
Estoy orgulloso de mí misma por dar el primer paso para compartir este nuevo negocio mío con ustesdes. Como siempre, gracias por leer.
