St. Francis of Assisi Prayer

In honor of St. Francis of Assisi day, I wish to share my favorite prayer with all of you: the St. Francis of Assisi Prayer. It gives me great peace and serenity every time I read it, and I hope it does the same for you.

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace;

Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

Where there is injury, pardon;

Where there is error, truth;

Where there is doubt, faith;

Where there is despair, hope;

Where there is darkness, light;

And where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, Grant that I may not so much seek

To be consoled as to console;

To be understood as to understand;

To be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;

And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

En honor del día de San Francisco de Asís, deseo compartir con todos ustedes ls oración de San Francisco de Asís. Me da mucha paz y tranquilidad cada vez que la leo y espero que haga lo mismo para ustedes.

Señor, hazme Instrumento de Tu paz.

Donde haya odio, siembre yo amor;

Donde haya injuria, perdón;

Donde haya duda, Fe;

Donde haya desaliento, esperanza;

Donde haya oscuridad, luz;

 Y donde haya tristeza, alegría.

 Oh Divino Maestro,

 Haz que no busque ser consolado sino consolar;

 Que no busque ser comprendido sino comprender;

 Que no busque ser amado sino amar;

 Porque dando es como recibimos;

 Perdonando es como Tú nos perdonas;

 Y muriendo en Ti es como nacemos en Vida Eterna.
